I have now spoken with Linda (AGCAS), who has agreed, in principle, to administer it for us. She does, however, need authorisation from Margaret Dane, but she felt that this would be forthcoming and will let me know next week.

AGCAS usually covers its costs from the surplus made on events but, as WHECS is effectively paying for the event, we will not make a 'surplus' and so we discussed an administration fee of £200 to cover putting it on the AGCAS website (with joining instructions etc), handling bookings, and sending out and collating on-line evaluations. I think this is more than reasonable (especially as if Jan does a workshop it will be free) but obviously would appreciate your views. Aberystwyth will be handling liaison with/payment to Gregynog.

In terms of workshops/speakers, Pauline has confirmed that Chris Phillips will be willing to be our keynote speaker and is, I believe, still waiting to hear from Anusha Evanson the Head at Hertfordshire (to talk about alternative service models) and Gareth Roberts the Head of HR at Admiral. Jan Perrett is in principle willing to do an advice/guidance workshop for non-careers advisers, especially GOW staff, in the afternoon and I will be talking with her in the next few days to confirm. I haven't spoken with St Andrews yet regarding the coaching session, but will do so today.

The other speakers/facilitators we wanted were Chris (sorry, not sure of the surname) from Swansea to talk about emerging technologies and someone from adult guidance/SSCs (I think this was your idea, Euros - but I don't know who you had in mind).

Gregynog has now been formally booked and I've said that we will probably have around 50 attendees all in - so do please make sure it's in your service diaries if it isn't already - many thanks to those who have given me a rough indication of how many might be coming.

It would be really helpful if you could let me know where we are with the speakers so that I can start work on the documentation needed.
