Just wanted to update you with progress towards our September conference.

I have booked Gregynog for Friday 12 September at a rate of £25.53 per person to include:

Morning coffee served with biscuits

2 course luncheon

Afternoon tea served with cakes

Hire of 3 conference rooms

Standard equipment hire

If we have, say, 50 colleagues attending, we're looking at a cost (minus speakers' expenses) of less that £1,300, which I think seems very reasonable - if you feel otherwise, please let me know before I formally confirm the booking! Rooms are available the night before for those who wish to travel on the Thursday and we agreed that individual services would cover the cost of travel etc. Please put the date in your Service diaries if you haven't already done so.

I have asked Linda Byrne (prev. Waters) if AGCAS will organise the event for us and hopefully I'll be discussing this with her next week. I've also asked whether she and/or Jan Perrett will be able to deliver the guidance workshop we discussed for GOW/placement staff.

It would be helpful to know how far you've got with contacting the other speakers we put forward - just so that we know whether we need to think again...
